Dale Keaveny is an active composer, sound designer and animator based in Melbourne. Dale attended the University of Wollongong to study Journalism in 2013, building networks throughout the film and production community in the Illawarra region.

His first professional work included 3 orchestral compositions commissioned by Nepean Mining to be advertised at the Asia Pacific International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX) in 2013. This was followed by commissioned advertisements for Warilla based sporting goods manufacturer Spartan Sport, directed by Daniel Cartwright and starring cricket legend Chris Gayle.

Dale presented at the 2017 EMS Communications Conference in Nagoya, Japan, contributing peer reviewed academic works with Dr Ivan Zavada. The presentation featured a study of intercultural communication trends and their representations in social media. After presenting ‘Acheron Star’ his first composition for Wind Orchestra at Vivid Festival in 2018, Dale is exploring further international performances of his works.

Dale graduated with a Masters Degree in Music Composition at the Sydney Conservatorium in 2023, and continues to collaborate with artists at the University of Sydney, UTS and Victoria Conservatory, building a body of work specialised in film and videogame composition. He released two games built in Unity throughout the COVID19 pandemic, learning the basics of game development and programming to further understand the medium.
